In this program I do the "heavy lifting" but we still work together to help your dog become calmer, more capable and easier to live with in everyday life.
Depending on the program, your dog spends the day (and potentially night) with me, my family and my dogs on our property and goes on adventures nearby.
This is more than just obedience training, this immersion program focuses on the total dog and provides an unforgettable experience for both you and your canine companion.

Full Residency Program
For families seeking the highest level of professional involvement and accelerated progress with the dog (and you).
Your dog lives with me and spends structured days and nights in my home. I provide coaching throughout the day learning the skills needed for everyday life.

Day Residency Program
For families who wnat professional help during the day while your ddog comes home at night and you are active in the process.
Your dog spends structured days learning with me and returns home each evening. I provide coaching daily as well as pick up and drop off at the home.Â

"Training with Top Dog was worth every bit of time, energy and money. My two mini aussies would bark, chase, herd, etc but when one nipped a friend’s little boy, I knew it was time for formal training.
Even after training, they still WANT to act like their old selves. I can see them perk up at passerby’s, but then they immediately turn their attention to me instead of barking and running to the end of their leash. It takes continuous work, but John gives very clear instructional lessons and is willing to go the extra mile for training, such as meet at a dog park! And all lessons are positive and fun!
